This is a "digital painting." A digital painting is a visualization created with the use of the computer and programming as a medium. In this case the painting is intended to represent my point of view of a virtual social network, more specifically how we connect in a virtual space on an emotional level.

The focus of this work will be lightning bugs. These bug represents an individual and their desire to connect with others and to a community. The pulsing of each bug's light is subject to each person in my social community's heart rate.

To decide each of the lightning bugs pulse I will physically take people in my social communites pulse and imput it into the work.
